Can I temporarily put my subscription on hold without unsubscribing?
Unfortunately at this time we do not have the ability to temporarily put subscriptions on hold. All we can offer is to unsubscribe your email address now and resubscribe when you are able to receive your newsletter(s) again.
My email address has changed, what do I need to do to still receive my newsletters?
It's easy to quickly update your address at: Email Update Page
NOTE: In order for this change to be complete you must also reply to an email confirmation at your new address so wait until the address is active to do this, and be sure to enter your email address correctly! This process will take care of updating the address for all of your newsletters.
How can I subscribe to additional newsletter titles?
All of our newsletters are free and we are frequently adding additional titles so we encourage you to revisit us often at GopherCentral.com. Simply check the additional newsletter(s) you wish to receive, enter your email address at the bottom, and hit submit. Then just reply to the email confirmation to complete your activation of the additional subscriptions.
How can I have my friends and family subscribe?
We encourage you to pass the news about GopherCentral along to anyone you think would be interested. You will be doing both them and us a great favor! For privacy reasons we cannot add people without their expressed permission, so just direct them to our homepage at: GopherCentral.com and they can also sign up for any newsletters they are interested in.
Why am I not receiving the GopherCentral newsletters I signed up for?
There are 2 possible reasons for this:
-
A. Make sure you have confirmed your subscription: In order to begin a new subscription in the first place you would need to have clicked on the link received in your email confirmation to complete the activation. If you feel this was the case, simply sign up to the newsletters again at our homepage at GopherCentral.com and you will receive a new email confirmation email to click on and complete your request.
-
B. Check your Junk Mail Settings: Sometimes in the shuffle of preventing unwanted junk emails to your inbox, your "wanted" emails can mistakenly end up getting blocked or misrouted by your email account settings. To make sure this does not happen to your GopherCentral subscriptions you requested, there are a few things you can do.
-
Although each system is different, many have junk mail filtering options that can be either turned off or on depending on what you choose.
-
Make sure "info@gopher-news.com" is on your list of "Approved Senders". Most systems have an option to add people to your list of recognized senders, and you should do this to make sure none of your publications are being blocked.
-
You should check with the Support or Member Services department for your provider if you have questions about their software or specific instructions for the additional options, but here are some additional instructions we've been provided for a few domains.

C. Still having a problem receiving your subscription? Since we certainly don't want you to miss a single issue...if after completing the above steps you are still not receiving your newsletters, please contact us to report the problem by visiting the No Newsletter Form so we can look into it further for you ASAP.
How do I unsubscribe from a newsletter?
You can unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter you choose. We include Unsubscribe instructions near the bottom of each and every newsletter sent from GopherCentral. Simply scroll down within the newsletter you received and click on the Unsubscribe link provided. Your request is processed immediately and you will receive a confirmation screen acknowledging your removal from any further mailings of that publication.
If you do not receive the confirmation screen or you experience any problems clicking on the link, there are also alternate email links included in each newsletter just beneath the link you can use to submit your request. Please allow 48 hours for removal requests by email as this is a manual process.
Why am I unable to view the images in my newsletter(s) with my Hotmail account?
If you are unable to see images in your Hotmail account, you may have your image viewing option turned off. To change this setting do the following:
-
1. From your Hotmail account, click "Options".
-
2. Under "Addtional Options" you will see "Mail Display Settings". Click this link.
-
3. You will see "Display Internet Images" and two(2) radio buttons. Select the radio button option for "Display images automatically".
-
Click "OK".
Now go back to your inbox and open your newsletter. You should be able to view the images now. Please make sure you have not exceeded your storage limit or you will probably not be able to view it.
How come I rarely get a response from one of the editors?
Please don't take it personally. With so many subscribers, our editors sometimes get thousands of emails a day and simply cannot respond to all of them individually, however they do take your comments into consideration. This is why if you are having a problem with your subscription delivery you should contact us by filling out the No Newsletter Form.
Why is there advertising in my newsletters?
This is how we keep our publications free. Our advertising revenues allow us to pay our writers as well as pay for the delivery of the publications. Our writers are some of the best on the net.
Will you sell or rent my name?
At this time, we have not done this. We do however reserve this right. If you do not want your name to be shared you can go to: Privacy to input your email address and it will not be shared.
